EACH DAY BEGINS ANEW
Babies conceived, infants born,
First breath,
First smile,
First step,
A new beginning to life.
Seeds germinate,
Flower buds unfold,
Basking in sun,
Leaves blow in gentle breeze,
A new beginning to life.
Rosy-cheeked children,
Run, play, laugh,
Learn, grow,
Excited to be alive,
A new beginning to life.
Animals born,
Take nourishment,
Bond with mother,
Take in new environment,
A new beginning to life.
Couples meet,
Court,
Fall in love,
Marry,
A new beginning to life.
Relationships grow,
Develop,
New friends meet,
Old friends enjoyed,
A new beginning to life.
Each day a new beginning,
New chance to make life desired,
Open heart to love,
Open eyes to beauty,
Open ears to music of life.
Each day a new beginning,
Laugh and be happy,
Love and be loved,
Do good for others,
Enjoy the good others do.
Each day a new beginning,
To go to bed,
Knowing that,
Tomorrow brings,
A new beginning to life.
Very positive and uplifting piece. Thanks for the reading material.
ReplyDeleteWho posted this and left comment? My guess: Mel posted, Debbie commented? Positive stuff, both of you.

ReplyDeleteDebbie, I thought it sounded like you, but since the comment had the NAMI avatar you usually use, I got confused. Then when I saw the next piece I knew I was wrong, because only you have a house built in 1865!
ReplyDeleteWow, you are becoming prolific. And, as Mel said, more uplifting. I hope you're getting some time to sleep.
Maybe the uplifting themes will help your dreams!
Uh oh, now I have the NAMI avatar! That last comment and this one is Ruth. I'd better sign out as NAMI and sign in as myself!

ReplyDeleteI agree with the other post that this is so positive and uplifting. I think all of these ideas are so important to keep in mind and it is nice to be reminded. This poem is at its strongest when it develops imagery like "rosy-cheeked children." That is so easy to see, where as "relationships grow" or "new friends meet" is harder to picture. If you want to continue with this beautiful poem it might be to find a way to discuss those concepts through imagery, invoking our five senses. Thanks Debbie J. A delightful poem.
