I Wish For You by Debbie

I Wish For You

Happiness
I wish for you
A long and healthy life
But if it doesn't happen that
You live a happy and full life anyway
Making the best of whatever life brings to you
Life doesn't always give you what you want
But in spite of that happiness
Is there for the taking
I wish for you
Happiness

  2. Debbie,
Wow! Look at the form of this. That could not have been easy. This is random, but I'm drinking some tea that has written on it "Never utter a wrong word, think a wrong thought, or wish a wrong wish." This poem wishes the right wish, the straight wish. It is true that happiness comes from making the best of what comes along. I love how true and heartfelt this poem is, and how generous it is. If you are interested in the subject of happiness, there is a great lecture on the subject that you can find here. http://www.ted.com/talks/dan_gilbert_asks_why_are_we_happy.html
Hope you have a great week!
