This is fun! The rhyming of every other line must have taken a lot of time. I like the ideas behind this poem. I like "Don't let relationships unwind" because it seems so important and makes a lot more sense than "my all acquaintance be forgot" - a line of Aud Lang Sine that never made sense to me. If you want to keep working on this, expand it, incorporating more imagery. The cadence is great. It could be sung. Maybe this is the start of a new New Years song!
